For Procurement

Know what every bid left out.

Remo benchmarks your estimate before the bids arrive, then compares every contractor submission line by line against your BOQ, so your team verifies findings instead of hunting for them.

The cost of doing it by hand

The expensive mistakes are the ones nobody sees.

Comparing submissions manually is not hard because it is complicated. It is hard because it is enormous, repetitive, and unforgiving of a single lapse in attention.

01

Weeks of one person's full attention

Four bids against one BOQ is four line-by-line reads of a document running to hundreds of pages, cross-referenced against each other and against what you asked for. Done properly, it takes weeks. Done at the pace the programme actually allows, it becomes sampling rather than checking — and everyone in the room knows it.

02

Nobody reads line 2,400 the way they read line 12

Attention degrades long before the pages run out, and the work is unforgiving of exactly that. Exclusions and qualifications are rarely in the priced lines where the reviewer is looking — they sit in covering letters, preambles and appendices, written to be easy to miss.

03

A missing item never announces itself

If a bidder has simply left a scope out, their total looks better for it, and nothing on the page is wrong. Absence is invisible unless somebody notices a line that is not there, in a schedule of thousands that are. The cheapest bid is often just the least complete one.

04

Every week of review is a week of programme

While the comparison drags, award slips. Bid validity lapses, prices are resubmitted, rates move, and the start date shifts right — all of it spent before anyone is on site, and none of it recoverable later.

And whatever is missed at tender gets priced after award, as a variation — one contractor, no competition, and none of the leverage you had when four of them were still bidding.

Speed

Instant analysis. Twenty minutes to check it, instead of weeks to do it.

We work from your Excel BOQ — the bill of quantities, or whatever priced schedule your sector uses — so the comparison itself is immediate: every submission read at once, line by line, against it and your tender requirements. Every exclusion, omission and pricing difference comes back flagged and located, so your own commercial team is verifying findings rather than hunting for them.

A single live tender run in September 2026: five documents — the tender requirements plus four contractor bids — around 1,500 pages in total. All five are processed in parallel, so a fifth or sixth bidder adds no waiting time.

Remo reads the Excel BOQ directly, so the comparison is immediate; the twenty minutes is your own reviewer confirming what it flagged rather than hunting for it. Bar lengths are indicative — the manual baseline runs to weeks, far beyond the scale shown.

How you know it's right

Remo checks its own reading against the document's own totals.

It does not simply extract what it sees and report it back. Remo reads the rate and quantity on every line, computes the amount itself, rolls those into section subtotals, bill totals and a grand summary — then reconciles all of it against the totals printed in the submission, across every document in the project.

Bills of quantities are read to the POMI standard (RICS Principles of Measurement International).

Grand summary84,201,35084,415,850▲ 214,500

Traced to Bill 4, page 47, item 4.12.6 — the quantity is extended at the wrong rate in the submission, so the contractor's own bill total is overstated. Remo's figure is the arithmetic one.

  • Self-verified, not self-reported

When Remo's arithmetic agrees with the totals printed in the document, the read is proven correct rather than assumed. That check runs on every bill, every page total and every grand summary.

  • A mismatch is itself a finding

Casting and extension errors in a contractor's own priced document are common, and they normally travel all the way to award unnoticed. Remo surfaces them instead of inheriting them.

  • Traceable to the page

Every figure points back to the line, the page and the document it came from. Nothing is an assertion you have to take on trust — open the submission and look.

Illustrative reconciliation.

BOQ-to-contractor bid comparison

Every submission compared against your BOQ and against each other, across as many contractors as the tender has.

  • Exclusions and qualifications buried in the submission
  • Scope missing from one bid but priced in the others
  • Pricing differences line by line, against the other bids

PTE & BOQ benchmarking

Your pre-tender estimate and bills of quantities compared against past projects you have tendered and awarded, section by section, in AED per m².

  • Adjusted for inflation to the current tender period
  • Matched to the closest past project in your portfolio — not a pooled market index
  • Section-by-section, so you see which trade packages are out of band before bids arrive

Design-change monitoring

Drawings keep moving after the BOQ is priced. A change in one discipline quietly invalidates scope priced in another, and nobody sees it until the claim lands.

  • A slab edge shifts on a structural revision — and the façade brackets, MEP risers and fire-stopping are all still priced against a drawing that no longer exists
  • Tracking it by hand means re-reading every discipline's revisions against every other, every round. It is the job nobody has time to do properly.
  • What gets missed comes back as a variation claim, rework or delay — found on site, where it costs the most to put right

What we're building next

None of the following is available today. We publish where we are going so you can plan for it — and tell us which matters most to your next tender.

  • BOQ health check against IFC drawings — quantities and rates checked against the drawings they were measured from, before the tender goes out
  • Quantity takeoff assistant — from drawings to a structured, measured BOQ, without the line-by-line hand work
  • PTE automated pricing — the pre-tender estimate priced item by item from the benchmark built on your past projects
  • Commercial intelligence beyond construction — the same comparison engine applied to hospitality FF&E, FMCG supply contracts, infrastructure civils and government RFQs

How we work

Start with one live tender. Decide on the evidence.

1 · Pilot

Fixed-fee pilot on one live tender

Pick a tender you're running now. We run this one for you, so there is nothing to set up and nothing to learn before you can judge the output against your own team's work.

2 · Access

Your team runs it themselves

Once the pilot proves out, your procurement and commercial people get access to the platform and run their own tenders on it. That is the normal end state, not a later upgrade.

3 · Annual agreement

Sized to the tenders you run

An annual agreement covers your team's use across the year, agreed on the volume you expect. Anything beyond it is scoped on its own.

During the pilot

We run the analysis and send you the findings, every difference flagged and located. Nothing to install and nothing to roll out while you are still deciding whether it works.

After it, your team is in the platform

Your procurement lead opens the tender themselves, sees every exclusion and pricing difference across the submissions, and traces any figure back to the page it came from. Our team is on hand during working hours while they settle in, and stays available after that.
